Changelog

Changes to the parameter-based request and response surface, newest first. Entries are grouped by the release that shipped them.

Only user-visible changes are listed — new filters, new response fields, and changes to how values are accepted. For the current surface of each entity, see its filtering and sorting pages.

1.6.0 — 12 October 2026

Projects

Research products

1.5.0 — 28 August 2026

Research products

  • The organizations objects in the response gained countries and websiteurl.

Data sources

  • endpoints — a new response field listing the data source's harvesting endpoints, such as its OAI-PMH base URL.

Persons

  • New filters: pid, relProject, relProjectId, relOrganization and relOrganizationId, so persons can be filtered by identifier and by related project or organization. See Persons.

1.4.0 — 6 July 2026

The release that introduced V3, the current version of the parameter-based API. The highlights are below; for the complete list of new and renamed filters per entity, see the Overview.

Endpoints

  • All five entities are served under a single, consistently named /v3 path. Persons was promoted from a V1-only endpoint to a first-class endpoint.
  • /links and /links/relations-info moved to /v3.
  • V1 and V2 were marked deprecated.

Query syntax

  • Values no longer need quoting when the expression contains no logical operator — type=publication is accepted alongside type="publication". Quotes remain required around each value when you use AND, OR or NOT.
  • NOT is accepted as a leading operator, as in NOT "value".
  • Lists of allowable values keep their declared order in the Swagger reference.

Research products

Projects

  • Year-based filters, including startYear, endYear and activeYear, alongside the existing date-based ones.
  • Funding-stream filters and country.
  • Alternative project titles are mapped into the response.

Organizations

  • country, funding information and collectedFrom are mapped into the response.

Data sources

  • thematic is a boolean rather than a string.

Earlier releases

These changes predate V3 and arrived through V1/V2, but the fields are part of the V3 responses:

  • 1.3.0 — rorId added to research products; originalIds added to projects and organizations.

For a field-by-field comparison between V1/V2 and V3, including renamed parameters, see the Overview.
