Dataverse Community Meeting 2026
The 2026 Annual Dataverse Community Meeting will take place from May 12th–15th, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain, hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. This year’s theme, “Advancing Data and Dataverse: AI, Interoperability, and Sensitive Data”, highlights key areas of interest for data professionals and researchers. Join to engage in vital discussions and help improve how we use data!
This year’s meeting centers on three areas of community innovation: building AI solutions for data to enhance repository workflows, data quality, and AI-ready data; improving interoperability to enable richer linkage and reuse across datasets, domains, and platforms; and expanding support for sensitive and restricted data. Through presentations, discussions, and hands-on sessions, participants will share developments, challenges, and find collaborative opportunities that will shape the future of the Dataverse ecosystem.
Important: This conference is open to everyone—researchers, research engineers, data practitioners/curators, policymakers, Dataverse users and non-Dataverse users alike. Participation is not restricted to those who deposit or manage data in Dataverse. Anyone with an interest in the conference themes, or who contributes to related work, is encouraged to attend and relate their experience to the Dataverse ecosystem.
